A recent report commissioned by Innovate UK and authored by the EPSRC’s Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Additive Manufacturing aimed to map the current state of additive manufacturing research in the UK and
understanding how the research landscape has changed since 2012.  This report identifies where the profile of research activity has changed within the UK, what shifts have taken place within the primary research actors and institutions and the industry sectors engaged in research, where the UK is strongest in additive manufacturing research and where there are current or emerging gaps in the research base.
