Innovate UK and OLEV have launched two new competitions supporting the Automotive industry and supply chain.

Both competitions are relevant to low carbon vehicles and offer significant funding to encourage development of technologies with potential to further reduce the carbon emissions of production vehicles.

Integrated Delivery Programme 12 ( IDP 12) is a £20m competition intended to support feasibility studies as well as collaborative R&D projects to lower CO2 and other emissions, while a £20m lightweighting competition is intended to support projects with potential to appreciably reduce the weight of vehicles, also in order to reduce CO2 emissions.

There will be a competition briefing and consortium-building event for potential applicants in Droitwich Spa on 3 September 2015, for which there is a link to register from the pages below:
