The Niche Vehicle Network is continuing to invest in R&D projects focused on the niche and specialist vehicle manufacturing sector.

 Our 2015-16 competition, supported by Innovate UK and OLEV, is providing a grant pot of up to £1,000,000 to support the development and demonstration of innovative vehicle technologies, primarily applicable to non-human powered, road-going niche vehicles, within the following categories:

•  Improved Fuel Efficiency & Carbon Reduction
• Weight Reduction & Recyclability

 All projects should aim to support the growth and competitiveness of the independent niche vehicle manufacturing sector and will demonstrate the developed technology on a UK niche vehicle.

 The call for bids for grant funded collaborative R&D projects opened on 1^st May 2015 and will close for applications on 30^th June 2015, with application packs available until noon on the 1^st June 2015.
